Our Roots
The Beginning
Pyareo Home grew out of a long-standing spiritual community in Sanbornton, New Hampshire, centered around the Sant Bani Ashram. Founded in the 1960s, the community was built around shared values of simplicity, service, meditation, and caring for one another. Over time, Pyareo Home became a natural extension of that spirit of care and support, serving both elders within the community and others drawn to a quiet, meditative way of life.
The Community Today
Today, this community includes Sant Bani Ashram, Sant Bani School, and Pyareo Home. Together, they create a warm and supportive environment where people of all ages live, learn, and care for one another. At the heart of the community is Sant Bani Ashram, which serves as its spiritual foundation. In many ways, the community’s care begins with children at Sant Bani School and continues through all stages of life, including the loving support of elders at Pyareo Home.
