Our Response and Accommodations

Our response to Covid-related developments follows the current State of New Hampshire guidelines for assisted living facilities. For the safety of our staff and residents, visitors to Pyareo Home must follow instructions on the front entry door regarding their state of health, wearing of masks and social distancing. Please talk with our staff prior to a visit if you need clarifications regarding our current policies.

As of May 7th, 2020 - Our home remains in quarantine. This is per Governor Sununu, and the recommendation of our state epidemiologists. All staff are still required to wear face-masks at all times when inside of the building.

This guidance is as follows:

“Beginning at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 15 all assisted living facilities, long term care facilities, nursing facilities, residential care facilities, as those terms are defined in RSAs 151- 151-H, or any other similar facilities providing residential care to elderly or infirm patients, shall prohibit visitor access to reduce facility-based transmission of COVID-19. This prohibition shall not apply to medically necessary personnel, visitors for residents receiving end of life care, or visitors necessary to provide for a residents’ psychosocial needs as determined by a licensed medical care provider.”

Accommodating families/residents through the continued solitude:

  1. Beginning the week of May 11th, families will be able to select a 30 minute block of time each week (particularly on the days with nice weather) to come and visit their loved one.

  2. Families will remain in their vehicles, and will be required to wear masks during their visit.

  3. Their loved one will remain 6’ from them and will be able to visit with their loved ones for 30 minutes.

  4. Eventually we may be able to expand to allowing visitors to sit in chairs, 6’ from the resident, while wearing masks, etc.

As this will be an ongoing challenge, I will be asking for suggestions from other Administrators and state personnel on other efforts that we could try (beyond Zoom/Facebook) to accommodate the current void of not being able to visit with loved ones.
